They cater for a wide range of uses and sports, the main one I'm going to talk about is hunting. While  bush hunting for deer or pigs we often camp away from the stream or river on a ridge so we can hear the stags roar, and the streams can also be a cold place to stay. So we need to be able to carry a good amount of water from our water source to our desired camping spot.

This is where the Hydrapak Expedition 8L water carrier comes into play.

  • You can have it tucked away in your pack while travelling and when you need to load up with water for camp it has a screw lid for easy filling and it has a wide-mouth Plug-N-Play cap for easy pouring, a flexible handle for effortless carrying and hanging and a free standing design with dual baffles for stability. It can hang from a tree and be used as a water canister for filling cups and pots or to wash hands with. These are very robust items and they will not puncture in your pack easily at all and that's where the best part lies, i find them bullet proof!

Some people are sensitive to the taste of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) and may experience a 'plastic' taste/smell. We must stress that this is in no way toxic. To reduce any plastic smell/taste try the following - fill your Expedition 1/4 of the way with hot water and add a tablespoon of lemon juice. Put the cap back on and give it a good shake. Then rinse.
